About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential insurance organization seeking a Senior Litigation Specialist/Corporate Representative. This fully remote position offers an opportunity to work on complex claims litigation while enjoying comprehensive benefits and work-life balance. We are looking for an experienced professional who can manage high-stakes files, collaborate with legal counsel, and provide technical expertise in claims handling.

Responsibilities

  • Audit complex residential and commercial open claim files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and state guidelines
  • Record audit results and present findings in meetings with legal management and adjusters
  • Perform analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve technical and procedural aspects of claims handling
  • Take over adjustment of complex claims on track for legal involvement, including collecting facts, performing policy analysis, making coverage recommendations, and issuing payments within authority levels
  • Report all suits, time limit demands, and mediations; request pre-mediation and pre-trial reports timely from counsel
  • Use technological knowledge of estimating and repair methods to review estimates for overlap, pricing, industry standards, and assess potential effects on jury views and trial outcomes
  • Maintain appropriate diary on pending claims and forward files with subrogation potential for collection in a timely manner
  • Identify adjuster coaching opportunities and communicate findings to management
  • Assist in identifying training needs and developing educational materials
  • Make referrals to special investigations as warranted
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry developments, case law changes, and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of Florida first and third-party homeowner claim handling experience
  • 4+ years of litigation experience
  • 3+ years of liability experience
  • 3+ years of technical experience with estimating software and repair methodology
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, an industry-related field, or equivalent education
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, negotiation, influential, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment
  • Ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to review lawsuits for potential deficiencies and provide settlement versus litigation recommendations
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and claims-related software applications
