Microbial Discovery Group is hiring a Bio-manufacturing Operator I to join our team in Franklin, Milwaukee County. This full-time position operates on a 12:00PM–8:00PM shift and offers hands-on experience in regulated biomanufacturing.
Position Summary
You'll perform entry-level operations in our bioproduction facility, supporting fermentation, drying, and downstream processing of Bacillus and other spore-forming bacteria. Working under direct supervision, you'll execute standard operating procedures, maintain batch documentation, and uphold the safety and quality standards required in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, load, and assist with fermentation vessel operations
- Monitor bioreactor parameters and record production data according to batch records
- Support drying and downstream processing of microbial cultures
- Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning following established protocols
- Maintain accurate, complete batch documentation and production records
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Respond to supervisor direction and collaborate with the production team
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to commit to the 12:00PM–8:00PM shift schedule
- Strong ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Detail-oriented approach to quality and safety
- Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform production tasks
- Manufacturing or laboratory experience is valued but not required
