Backend Engineer III

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Backend Engineer III to join their growing engineering team. In this role, you will design and build core features for their banking platform, working across the full backend stack to deliver customer-facing products and underlying infrastructure.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges in areas including payments, security, distributed systems, and data infrastructure. Your work will directly impact products used by customers every day, requiring a strong product mindset and data-informed decision-making.

Key technologies include Go for application code, Cassandra for data storage, Kafka for messaging, and Kubernetes with Docker for orchestration. You'll work with AWS and GCP infrastructure, and contribute to building resilient, scalable systems.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience working on backend systems for technology products
• Experience with strongly-typed languages such as Go, Java, C, or Scala
• Product mindset with focus on customer outcomes and data-driven decisions
• Comfort working in environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving across technical disciplines
