About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-established professional services firm in Frankfurt am Main that is transforming how tax and advisory work gets done in the digital age. Our client serves national and international businesses with over 50 professionals and is investing heavily in AI, process automation, and next-generation technology platforms.

They need a Digitalization and IT Process Specialist (FAIT) to lead the technical transformation at the intersection of tax, AI, and enterprise systems. You'll own DATEV optimization projects, evaluate and implement new tools, and drive change management as the organization builds its digital future. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to shape how a modern advisory practice operates.

Responsibilities

• Lead digitalization and AI projects that optimize existing platforms (primarily DATEV) and introduce new technology solutions
• Manage the full lifecycle of IT process improvements—from needs analysis and vendor evaluation through implementation and user adoption
• Serve as the bridge between technical systems and advisory workflows, ensuring tools solve real business problems
• Drive change management initiatives when new software or processes are introduced
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve data quality across client engagements
• Collaborate with tax professionals to understand pain points and translate them into technical requirements
• Stay current on emerging tools in AI, document automation, and cloud-based advisory platforms

What We're Looking For

• Fachassistent Digitalisierung und IT-Prozesse (FAIT) certification or equivalent qualification in tax technology and process digitization
• Alternatively: Steuerfachangestellter or Steuerfachwirt with demonstrated expertise in IT systems and AI applications
• Deep familiarity with DATEV applications and their practical use in advisory environments
• Self-starter mentality—you take ownership of projects and drive them to completion without constant oversight
• Genuine curiosity about new technologies and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems quickly
• Team-oriented approach and ability to bring colleagues along through process changes
• Solid English skills in reading and writing (beneficial but not mandatory)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main
