Applied AI Architect, Digital Natives Business

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading AI technology company, is seeking an Applied AI Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to digital native businesses. In this pre-sales role, you will:

• Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align business objectives with implementation strategies
• Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the customer adoption journey, from discovery and evaluation through deployment, coordinating across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
• Support customers building with both API integrations and enterprise productivity tools
• Create and deliver compelling technical content for diverse audiences, from technical deep dives for engineering teams to business value discussions with executives and founders
• Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate AI solutions into their existing technology stack
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure AI performance for their specific use cases
• Identify common integration patterns and contribute insights back to Product and Engineering teams
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building
• Maintain strong knowledge of the latest developments in large language model capabilities and implementation patterns

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager
• Experience working with digital native businesses, fast-moving technology companies, or scale-ups, navigating buying cycles that move quickly and involve technical decision makers
• Exceptional ability to build relationships with and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders including founders, C-suite executives, engineering teams, and IT staff
• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to translate customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with modern technology stacks
• Comfort with Python programming
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science
• Excitement for cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities
• A passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex topics in easily understandable terms
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field

This is a hybrid position based in London, with the expectation of being in the office at least 25% of the time.

Pay

This role offers On Target Earnings (OTE) including both base salary and sales commissions. Our client has indicated the OTE range is £190,000–£230,000 annually. The client does sponsor visas and will make every reasonable effort to support successful candidates requiring sponsorship, working with immigration counsel as needed.
