Ansible Automation Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking an Ansible Automation Consultant to join their professional services team. Our client delivers transformative technology solutions to Fortune 500 companies across financial services, retail, telecommunications, and other enterprise sectors. This role requires travel 20-30 weeks per year across North America.

As their recruiting partner, Get A Job.ai is identifying consultants who combine strong technical automation expertise with customer-facing consulting skills. You'll work on complex infrastructure projects that help major organizations adopt automation and configuration-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise customers in building scalable, optimally managed technology infrastructures using automation platforms and Linux-based solutions
• Serve as a technical contributor on project teams, implementing solutions based on architectural designs
• Collaborate on project timelines and maintain comprehensive project and technical documentation
• Travel frequently (20-30 weeks annually) to customer sites across North America
• Continuously learn and adapt to new automation technologies and consulting methodologies
• Mentor team members and share knowledge with internal and external communities of practice
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and set expectations regarding project scope and delivery timelines

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Proven experience delivering technical implementations as part of project teams
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate on project timelines and maintain technical documentation
• Experience understanding stakeholder needs and managing project expectations
• Track record of working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Desire to mentor others and share technical knowledge

Required Technical Skills:

• Base-level experience using and configuring Linux systems
• Understanding of configuration as code principles
• Experience with scripting languages including YAML and Python
• Intermediate-level, hands-on experience with automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or PowerShell
• Understanding of automation advantages in complex enterprise environments
• Experience using or configuring cloud technologies, container management, or orchestration platforms

Preferred Skills:

• Previous exposure to or practical experience with Ansible Automation Platform
• Intermediate-level understanding of core IT systems including infrastructure, networking, storage, and security

Additional Requirements:

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (current or future)
• Willingness to travel 20-30 weeks per year on average
• Located in the United States

Pay

Our client has indicated a salary range of $96,440 - $154,190 annually based on qualifications, location, experience, and applicable skills. This position may also include eligibility for bonus, commission, and equity compensation.
