About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading sustainability research organization seeking an Analyst to join their Research & Data team in London. Our client operates data-driven benchmarking platforms that help institutional investors understand ESG risks and opportunities within global food systems, with a particular focus on protein production and seafood sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional passionate about sustainability to drive company-level ESG research, engage directly with major corporations, and support institutional investors in making informed decisions about food system sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and score publicly available ESG data for a portfolio of companies within the food systems sector
• Apply research methodologies with accuracy and consistency, ensuring adherence to internal quality standards
• Translate raw data into actionable insights, highlighting emerging risks, opportunities, and trends relevant to sustainability
• Draft structured outputs including summaries, data-driven reports, and briefing notes that are robust and well-evidenced
• Lead constructive dialogue with companies during research cycles, providing clear guidance on methodology and findings
• Continuously monitor your company portfolio, tracking strategic changes, new initiatives, emerging risks, and controversies
• Act as a key point of contact for investor members, media, and external stakeholders seeking insights into company assessments
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop sector and thematic research insights
• Contribute feedback on how methodologies, products, and processes can evolve to better meet market needs
• Support cross-functional initiatives including investor engagement preparation and analytical briefings

What We're Looking For

• Passionate about sustainability with a desire to deepen understanding of food systems and their environmental and social impacts
• Excellent research and analytical skills—both qualitative and quantitative—with strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify relevant trends in large data sets and derive evidence-based conclusions
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with ability to draft professional materials requiring minimal review
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Demonstrable experience interacting and working with senior business professionals
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at various levels
• Interest in continuously developing subject-matter expertise in ESG and food systems sustainability
