About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential semiconductor organization at the forefront of AI computing technology. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Network ASIC Designer to join their growing engineering group. This is a remote position based anywhere in the United States.

You'll contribute to cutting-edge CPU networking architecture for datacenter environments and emerging applications in robotics and automotive systems. The initial focus will be on datacenter networking, with expansion into AI/ML compute and sensor processing for robotics platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define and build next-generation CPU networking architectures for AI/ML workloads in datacenter environments
  • Contribute to current datacenter networking initiatives while helping specify future medium- to low-power devices
  • Work at the intersection of forwarding, buffering, modeling, and RTL design to guide architectural decisions
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams to define and refine networking requirements
  • Build extreme low-latency networks across Ethernet topologies and high-performance computing (HPC) topologies
  • Drive forward CPU networking architecture for both datacenter scale-up and scale-out implementations

What We're Looking For

  • Deep knowledge of Ethernet network architecture and performance modeling
  • Experience with die-to-die interfaces, including associated protocols and design tradeoffs
  • Understanding of how Ethernet networking concepts map onto on-chip and off-chip fabrics
  • Hands-on experience with datacenter scale-up architectures such as UALink, NVLink, and similar technologies
  • Experience with scale-out RDMA protocols including RoCE, Infiniband, and related technologies
  • Strong ability to navigate multiple priorities and evolving requirements in ambiguous environments
  • Comfort working across the full stack from architectural decisions through RTL implementation

Note: Our client welcomes candidates at various experience levels. Assessment during the interview process will determine the appropriate level for your background.

Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technology. Due to U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), employment may be contingent upon citizenship/permanent residency status or ability to obtain license approval from the U.S. Commerce Department for nationals of certain countries (EAR Country Groups D:1, E1, and E2).
