AI Safety Specialist (AI Engineering)

Hyphen Connect Limited is hiring an AI Safety Specialist (AI Engineering) for a full-time position in Oregon, US. You'll fortify our language models and AI agents against vulnerabilities, safeguarding their deployment through comprehensive testing and responsible design principles.

What You'll Do

• Perform rigorous adversarial testing on large language models and multimodal AI agents to identify weaknesses and failure modes
• Design and deploy safety guardrails that prevent unsafe outputs and misaligned behavior
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure AI system reliability, robustness, and ethical compliance
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety mechanisms into model deployment pipelines
• Document security findings, risk assessments, and recommendations for continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Experience with AI security testing, red-teaming, or adversarial machine learning
• Technical proficiency in Python or similar languages for building safety evaluation tools
• Familiarity with large language models, transformer architectures, and multimodal systems
• Understanding of AI ethics, alignment challenges, and responsible AI principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate safety concerns into technical solutions
