Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential advisory firm seeking an AI Product Manager to join their internal AI development team in London. In this role, you will own product management for proprietary AI capabilities, with particular focus on discovering and shaping new products that address genuine business needs.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and shaping opportunities for new proprietary AI products and capabilities across the organization
- Leading product discovery to understand user and business needs, defining opportunities and testing whether ideas are worth pursuing
- Turning promising ideas into clear product concepts, user journeys, requirements and prototypes
- Working closely with AI Engineers through design and development, making pragmatic trade-offs between user value, functionality, speed and technical complexity
- Owning and prioritizing the roadmap and backlog across the AI portfolio
- Running rapid pilots and user testing, using feedback and evidence to decide where to scale, adapt or stop
- Ensuring trust is designed into products from the outset, with appropriate consideration for governance, privacy, security, safety and responsible AI
- Developing reusable capabilities that can scale across the organization rather than solving the same problems multiple times
- Building strong relationships across teams, translating between business needs and technical possibilities
- Staying close to emerging AI capabilities and identifying where they could enable new products or materially better ways of working
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks someone who combines strong product judgement, creativity and structured problem-solving with the ability to turn emerging technology into practical, high-value products. You will be comfortable starting with ambiguous problems, moving quickly from insight to prototype, and working closely with engineers and users.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant product management experience, with a track record of delivering digital, software, data or AI-enabled products
- Experience taking new products or capabilities from discovery and concept through to launch and iteration
- Strong product discovery skills, with the ability to uncover genuine user needs and challenge assumptions about the right solution
- Experience translating complex or loosely defined business needs into clear product requirements for technical teams
- Strong prioritization and product judgement, including making trade-offs between user value, effort, speed and complexity
- Experience working closely with software engineers and technical specialists, with sufficient technical fluency to contribute meaningfully to solution design
- Strong familiarity with generative AI and large language models, including product patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation, agents, orchestration and evaluation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgement to distinguish interesting technology from genuinely valuable products
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility across technical and non-technical teams
- Intellectual curiosity, collaborative approach and willingness to keep learning in a rapidly evolving field
Desirable experience:
- Developing products using generative AI, large language models or other emerging technologies
- Rapid prototyping, experimentation or innovation-led product development
- Building internal enterprise tools or bespoke technology products
- Working in professional services, advisory or another stakeholder-intensive environment
