About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking an AI Engineer to join their innovative team in Paris, France. Our client is at the forefront of enterprise commerce technology and is rapidly integrating AI into both their product offerings and internal operations.

This is a permanent position with a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days on-site per week in Paris.

Responsibilities

As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, and scale production-grade AI systems that power intelligent commerce capabilities:

• Design and deploy production-ready AI systems leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, multimodal AI, and evaluation frameworks
• Architect complex agentic workflows including tools, memory, retrieval, planning, and guardrails
• Connect AI systems to internal platforms, business applications, CRM, data platforms, and knowledge bases
• Build robust orchestration layers between models, APIs, tools, retrieval systems, and business workflows
• Partner with business teams, Product Managers, and Engineers to identify high-value AI opportunities
• Run pilots and experiments, gathering feedback and measuring business impact through data-driven iteration
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, validation layers, and monitoring systems
• Ensure AI systems meet security, compliance, governance, and explainability requirements
• Drive adoption of AI-powered workflows across internal teams and contribute to engineering standards

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, ML Engineering, Applied AI, or related fields
• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems using LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents
• Experience designing multi-step agentic workflows and retrieval systems
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate AI systems and improve model performance
• Experience deploying and operating production services in cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
• Strong communication skills in English
• Engineering mindset with focus on reliability, scalability, and measurable outcomes

Technical stack includes:

• Languages: Python, SQL
• AI platforms: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, open-source models
• Frameworks: LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP, Vector Databases
• Infrastructure: AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes

Compensation

The annual gross salary range for this position is €55,000 – €65,000, determined based on experience, skills, and scope of responsibilities.
