Accounts Payable Executive – 6 month FTC

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential travel technology client seeking an Accounts Payable Executive for a 6-month fixed-term contract in London. This role sits within the finance operations team, supporting critical payment reconciliation processes and supplier relationships during a period of organizational growth.

You'll work closely with the Accounts Payable Team Leader and collaborate across finance to ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier payments while maintaining strong internal controls and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile multiple supplier statements and virtual credit card (VCC) statements
• Perform merchant acquirer statement reconciliations
• Support weekly payment run execution
• Assist in preparation of KPI reports and month-end reporting
• Manage and respond to queries through designated finance inboxes
• Engage with key suppliers to resolve payables and receivables queries
• Support finance automation projects and ad-hoc initiatives across the wider finance team

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience in supplier statement reconciliation and accounts payable environments
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy in a controlled environment
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with suppliers
• Action-focused approach, balancing independent execution with appropriate escalation
• Positive mindset toward process improvement and technology adoption

Desirable:

• G Suite experience
• Background in the travel sector
• Experience with merchant acquirer statement reconciliation
• Familiarity with virtual credit card processes
