About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential travel technology company seeking a Data Scientist to join their London-based team. Our client is building innovative solutions that improve how customers discover and book travel experiences, and they need a talented data professional to develop predictive models that drive commercial decisions across pricing, recommendations, and product optimization.

You'll work within a collaborative data science function, partnering closely with product and engineering teams to turn complex business challenges into practical machine learning solutions. This is an opportunity to make tangible impact by building models that directly influence customer experience and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve data science products across pricing, recommendations, and other business domains to enhance customer experiences and commercial performance
• Transform ambiguous business problems into practical data science solutions, handling the full lifecycle from exploration and modeling through to experimentation and evaluation
• Partner with engineers, analysts, and product teams to deploy reliable models and embed data-driven recommendations into everyday decision-making processes
• Monitor model performance in production, investigate anomalies and changes, and continuously improve solutions as customer behavior and business needs evolve
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, challenge assumptions, and help teams make confident, evidence-based decisions

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience developing and delivering practical machine learning solutions, with demonstrated ability to balance model performance, business value, and long-term maintainability
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets
• Solid grounding in statistics, experimentation methodologies, and machine learning fundamentals, including model evaluation and causal inference
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and improve models in production environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and influence product and commercial decisions across the organization
• Based in or willing to relocate to London
