Account Executive, New Business (UK & Europe – Local Payments)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization operating at the forefront of global payments infrastructure. Our client is experiencing rapid expansion across the UK and European markets, and we are seeking an exceptional Account Executive to join their new business team in London.

This is an individual contributor role where you will own the complete sales cycle—from prospecting through close—focused on enterprise merchants and payment service providers seeking to optimize their payment solutions through local payment methods.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for mid-market and enterprise merchant opportunities across UK and European markets
• Actively generate and qualify leads, building a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
• Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers including C-level executives
• Deliver consistent revenue performance against new business targets
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and implementation
• Partner with client success and marketing teams to deliver effective training and activation sessions
• Create comprehensive handover documentation for post-sale account management transitions
• Maintain deep knowledge of the UK and European payments landscape, particularly alternative and local payment methods

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record in B2B sales or partnership roles, ideally within payments or fintech
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and how local payment methods create strategic value
• Exceptional commercial and analytical skills with data-driven decision-making abilities
• Self-starter mentality with ability to independently build and manage pipeline
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence both technical stakeholders and C-suite executives
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a significant advantage
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
