(Senior) Social Media & Video Editor (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital agency client in Berlin seeking a (Senior) Social Media & Video Editor to join their creative team. This role combines strategic social media planning, content creation, and hands-on video editing to deliver compelling content for diverse brand clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media formats and editorial concepts aligned with brand strategy, target audiences, and platform-specific best practices
• Create and manage editorial calendars, including posting schedules across multiple client accounts
• Provide strategic consultation to clients on social account development and bring fresh ideas to enhance their presence
• Oversee community management and publishing for select accounts, refining editorial guidelines and content standards
• Prepare for and supervise on-set production, conducting interviews and identifying which scenes and assets will perform on social platforms
• Execute editorial video cuts in Adobe Premiere, transforming raw footage into platform-optimized social assets
• Coordinate with internal and external editors during post-production phases
• Write captions, hooks, and copy for organic social content as well as campaign materials

What We're Looking For

• Several years of professional experience in social media, editorial content, or video production—ideally within an agency or production environment
• Strategic and editorial mindset with the ability to execute hands-on content creation
• Strong instinct for social trends, platform mechanics, and effective content formats
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere; familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus
• Experience preparing for and supporting shoots in an editorial capacity
• Excellent sense of language, storytelling, and adapting tone for different brand voices
• Consulting skills with the confidence to advise clients and articulate strategic recommendations
• Structured, independent, and reliable work style with the ability to manage multiple clients and productions simultaneously
• Fluent German and English communication skills
