Account Executive – Medical Communications

Prime is seeking a Full Time Account Executive – Medical Communications based in Knutsford, England, to build and nurture client relationships whilst driving strategic communication initiatives within the healthcare sector.

What This Role Involves

As Account Executive for Medical Communications, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare clients. You'll orchestrate the delivery of high-impact communication campaigns, ensuring messaging aligns with medical accuracy, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. This is a hands-on role where you bridge the gap between client needs and internal creative and strategic teams, fostering collaborative relationships that grow revenue and market presence.

Core Duties

• Manage assigned client accounts with a focus on retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth
• Develop and present communication strategies tailored to each client's therapeutic area and audience
• Oversee campaign execution, timelines, and deliverables from brief to delivery
• Conduct regular client meetings to discuss objectives, performance, and emerging opportunities
• Prepare proposals and scope documents for new business pitches and retainer proposals
• Monitor budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of services
• Collaborate with internal teams including strategic planners, copywriters, designers, and project managers
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and medical communications best practice

Requirements

• Proven experience in account management, client relations, or business development within medical communications, pharmaceutical marketing, or related healthcare field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Project management capability and attention to detail
• Understanding of pharmaceutical regulation, compliance, and medical accuracy standards
