About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site locum tenens gastroenterologist position based in Northpoint, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Physicians work a steady weekday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, caring for a manageable daily volume of five to ten patients. The assignment carries a six-month minimum commitment, with the flexibility of a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation for clinicians who prefer that cadence.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage a daily census of approximately 5 to 10 patients.
- Perform a full range of gastroenterology procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and ERCP.
- Participate in rotating call coverage on weeknights and weekends.
- Deliver attentive, high-quality patient care across the scheduled clinical hours.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist.
- Hands-on proficiency with EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and ERCP procedures.
- Eligibility to hold an active Arkansas medical license.
- Availability to fulfill a six-month minimum commitment, with an optional two-weeks-on/off schedule.
- Willingness to share rotating weeknight and weekend call coverage; note that the first ten months are free of call requirements.
