1:1 Paraprofessional

Old Colony Regional Vocational & Technical High School in Rochester is hiring a Full-Time 1:1 Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you'll provide direct instructional support to secondary students under the guidance of a qualified classroom teacher.

About the Role

As a 1:1 Paraprofessional, you'll work closely with individual students to reinforce classroom instruction and support their academic progress. You'll collaborate with teachers to implement instructional strategies, monitor student engagement, and help create a supportive learning environment in a comprehensive vocational and technical setting.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-on-one instructional support to assigned students under direct teacher supervision
• Reinforce concepts introduced in the classroom and help students practice new skills
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the supervising teacher
• Assist with classroom management and student engagement strategies
• Support students in secondary-level academic coursework across various disciplines
• Help maintain organized, productive learning spaces

What We're Looking For

• A secondary school diploma or recognized equivalent
• Completion of at least 48 college credit hours
• Solid understanding of secondary-level academic curriculum and instructional practices
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, teachers, and families
• Patience, reliability, and genuine commitment to student success
• Flexibility to work collaboratively within a vocational and technical education setting
