What This Role Involves

As a Teammate Apparel at Dickssportinggoods, you'll be the go-to expert for customers shopping our athletic and sportswear collections. This is a hands-on retail role where you'll combine customer engagement with visual merchandising to create an inviting shopping environment that drives sales and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and provide personalized product recommendations across our apparel departments
• Stock, organize, and merchandise apparel to maintain department standards and highlight new arrivals
• Process transactions at the register and handle customer inquiries with professionalism
• Assist with fitting room operations and maintain cleanliness throughout the apparel section
• Support inventory management and point-of-sale systems as needed
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales and customer service goals
• Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, and company initiatives

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated customer service experience or proven ability to connect with customers
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Basic retail operations knowledge or willingness to learn point-of-sale systems
