Retail sales Associate Golf

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Associate in our Golf department, you'll be the go-to expert for customers shopping for golf clubs, apparel, shoes, bags, accessories, and other golf merchandise. You'll build relationships with both beginners and experienced golfers, guiding them toward products that match their skill level, preferences, and budget. This full-time position is based at our Latham location and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service and driving sales in the golf category.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the golf floor and assess their needs, skill level, and playing style
• Provide expert product knowledge about golf clubs, balls, bags, apparel, footwear, and accessories
• Help customers select equipment that fits their game, budget, and preferences
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system
• Maintain the golf department's appearance, organization, and product displays
• Answer customer questions about golf brands, features, and benefits
• Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer experiences
• Meet sales targets and contribute to store performance goals

What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of golf equipment, brands, and the sport (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work full-time hours including weekends
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused mindset
• Sales drive and ability to close customer interactions successfully
• Retail or customer service experience (preferred but not required)
• Basic math skills for transactions and inventory
