Sr. Principal Systems Engineer

Globalhr is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join the team in Melbourne, Florida at 1344 S Babcock St, BLDG 313. This is a full-time, on-site position for a leader ready to architect critical systems and drive infrastructure strategy at the principal engineer level.

What This Role Involves

In this Sr. Principal Systems Engineer role, you'll own the architecture and strategy of Globalhr's systems infrastructure. You'll make high-impact technical decisions that shape reliability, scalability, and security across the organization. As a principal-level engineer, you'll blend deep technical expertise with strategic leadership—designing systems at enterprise scale, mentoring engineering teams, and charting the technical direction for infrastructure evolution.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance
• Define technical strategy and long-term vision for systems initiatives across Globalhr
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, establishing best practices and technical standards
• Evaluate and implement infrastructure technologies, frameworks, and platforms
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to align infrastructure investments with business goals
• Conduct technical design reviews and maintain architectural excellence
• Drive improvements in system resilience, observability, and disaster recovery capabilities

Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure architecture, or related fields
• Proven expertise designing and operating large-scale, distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration, and modern infrastructure
• Strong foundation in system design, networking, databases, and security architecture
• Demonstrated success leading and mentoring technical teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
