Transportation Manager of Operations

Gategroup is seeking a Transportation Manager of Operations to direct ground logistics and fleet operations at our Los Angeles, CA location in a full-time role. You'll oversee daily transportation coordination, lead our driver and vendor teams, and drive operational excellence while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

As Transportation Manager of Operations at Gategroup in Los Angeles, you'll take ownership of all transportation logistics, from strategic fleet management to day-to-day route coordination. Your leadership ensures reliable, efficient movement of goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service across our Los Angeles operations.

Core Duties

• Direct daily transportation operations, logistics coordination, and fleet scheduling
• Manage drivers and logistics vendors, ensuring performance standards and regulatory compliance
• Optimize transportation routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, fleet condition, and vendor performance metrics
• Establish and enforce transportation safety procedures, policies, and operational standards
• Analyze transportation data, track key performance indicators, and report on operational metrics
• Coordinate with warehouse, fulfillment, and customer service teams to support business needs
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and all applicable legal requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics operations, or related field
• Proven track record managing transportation teams, drivers, or logistics vendors
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety requirements, and fleet operations
• Experience with logistics software, dispatch systems, or transportation management tools
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background screening
