CNC Operator I

Wabtec is looking for a CNC Operator I to join our manufacturing facility in Monte Alto, SP, BR. In this full-time position, you'll operate precision computerized numerical control machines to produce components that drive industrial innovation and performance.

Position Summary

As a CNC Operator I at Wabtec, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to manufacture parts according to exact engineering specifications. This role is essential to our production team, requiring technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. You'll work with modern manufacturing equipment and contribute directly to Wabtec's mission of delivering reliable, high-performance solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts to specification and tolerance requirements
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
• Set up and adjust CNC equipment, including tooling and workholding devices
• Monitor machine operation and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and tool changes
• Record production data and report issues to supervisors
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Experience operating CNC machines or similar precision manufacturing equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring and calculations
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts
