Manager, Vocational Case Management

Allsup Employment Services seeks a Manager, Vocational Case Management to lead our case management team across the United States in a full-time role. Direct a talented group of vocational specialists dedicated to helping Social Security Disability Insurance beneficiaries achieve employment and financial independence through the Ticket to Work Program.

Position Summary

This management position oversees the Vocational Case Management department, directing a team of case managers who guide SSDI participants toward sustainable employment. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on oversight, ensuring exceptional service quality and achievement of departmental performance objectives within the Ticket to Work Program framework.

Core Duties

  • Lead the Vocational Case Management team in daily operations, coaching staff toward strong return-to-work outcomes for participants with disabilities.
  • Maintain service quality through regular file audits, call reviews, and quality assurance across all case management functions.
  • Oversee all personnel operations including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance coaching, employee recognition, and evaluations.
  • Use performance data and key metrics to assess productivity, identify growth opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish operational processes and controls that promote service excellence and support organizational goals.
  • Develop department objectives and key performance indicators aligned with strategy; monitor progress and ensure consistent achievement.
  • Build a collaborative culture that encourages innovation, recognizes achievements, and maintains strict confidentiality standards.
  • Facilitate communication across the team and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Evaluate processes and encourage staff to identify and implement efficiency improvements and operational enhancements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling or related field from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience in employment services, job placement, or vocational rehabilitation serving individuals with disabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Social Security Ticket to Work Program, including Trial Work Period, Extended Period of Eligibility, and Expedited Reinstatement.
  • Professional certification (CRC, CVE, NRC, or CCM) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Social Security Disability Insurance processes is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADA and job accommodation practices is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to build trust and collaborate effectively.
  • Capacity to manage multiple complex projects and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on results.
  • Must pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting.
