Clinical Research Associate – Freelance

This position combines independent site oversight with collaborative excellence in monitoring clinical research operations for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors.

About the Role

TFS HealthScience is an established Contract Research Organization serving global pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners throughout clinical development. As a Clinical Research Associate on our Sponsored Research Services and Functional Service Provider teams, you'll focus on a single sponsor relationship—a major industry player in their therapeutic niche—overseeing compliance, safety, and data integrity across study sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct both on-site and remote monitoring activities at clinical trial locations

• Verify adherence to study protocols and regulatory frameworks including ICH and GCP standards

• Review case report forms and source documentation for completeness and accuracy

• Confirm that informed consent documentation meets regulatory and ethical standards

• Oversee accountability and proper handling of investigational compounds

• Document findings and submit comprehensive monitoring reports following each site visit

• Coordinate with sites to resolve issues and track corrective actions to completion

• Ensure Trial Master File and Investigator Site File records comply with archiving and regulatory requirements

• Support regulatory inspections and internal audit activities

• Record and synchronize data in Clinical Trial Management Systems and sponsor databases

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field, nursing, or equivalent discipline

• Minimum three years of hands-on experience in clinical research operations or related healthcare roles

• Demonstrated knowledge of GCP standards, ICH guidelines, and clinical trial mechanics

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities

• Proficiency in English at a professional level

• Proven capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

• Background in central nervous system or neurology studies—highly valued but not required
