Remote IT Project Manager

Summit Federal Services, LLC is seeking a Remote IT Project Manager to direct technology initiatives for federal government clients nationwide, working from your location near Quantico, Prince William County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead strategic IT and business process projects for a woman-owned, HUBZone-certified small business that serves multiple federal agencies with expertise in acquisition, training, and security services.

Role Overview

As an IT Project Manager at Summit Federal Services, LLC, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of information technology and business process initiatives for federal agency partners. Working remotely, you'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure projects meet federal compliance standards and stakeholder expectations. Your leadership will directly impact how federal clients acquire technology solutions, modernize operations, and strengthen their mission-critical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage IT projects from initiation through closure, establishing clear scope, schedules, and deliverables
• Coordinate with federal agency stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment with mission objectives
• Lead project teams, including contractors and subject matter experts, to deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain budget and timeline adherence
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting for federal compliance and audit requirements
• Support acquisition and procurement processes for technology solutions and services

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in federal government or federal contracting environments
• Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and enterprise technology architecture
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities for engaging with federal agencies
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote work environment
• Familiarity with federal procurement processes and compliance frameworks
• Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) preferred
