HR Coordinator

Greater NY Nursing Services is hiring a full-time HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in our Brooklyn office. In this role, you'll be a core member of our people operations team, supporting employee onboarding, relations, and day-to-day HR functions that help our nursing services organization run smoothly.

About the Role

The HR Coordinator position is based in our Borough Park, Brooklyn location and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources. You'll be the go-to resource for employees navigating our organization, from their first day through their career journey with us.

What You'll Do

• Lead new employee onboarding, including processing paperwork, coordinating orientation schedules, and ensuring new hires have everything they need to succeed
• Support employee relations by responding to questions, managing inquiries, and fostering a positive workplace culture
• Maintain and organize employee records, documentation, and HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance
• Assist with recruitment tasks, including scheduling interviews and coordinating hiring logistics
• Coordinate HR events, training sessions, and workplace initiatives that strengthen our team
• Handle administrative duties that keep our HR operations organized and efficient
• Support the Director of Human Resources with special projects and ongoing HR initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to work with employees at all levels
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks
• Professional demeanor and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
• Proficiency with standard office software and HR systems
• Problem-solving mindset with a customer-service orientation toward employee needs
• High school diploma or equivalent; HR coursework or certification a plus
