Licensed Therapist – Maryland- Peak Hours (Evenings & Weekends)

Backpack Healthcare is hiring a licensed therapist to deliver compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to children, teens, and young adults across Maryland during evening and weekend peak hours. This is a part-time remote position requiring an active Maryland clinical license.

Position Summary

Join a clinician-led, minority-owned mental health platform dedicated to making quality care accessible and affordable for young people. We've supported over 12,000 children and families since 2020, with 78% of families reporting measurable improvement within three months. In this role, you'll provide virtual therapy to a consistent caseload during hours that work for busy families: weekday evenings (3 PM–9 PM) and weekend mornings (8 AM–2 PM). You'll work independently in a fully remote setting, supported by an interdisciplinary team of therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists committed to your success and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans centered on each client's strengths and needs
• Deliver ongoing individual therapy sessions via secure telehealth platform to young clients and their families
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure coordinated, holistic care
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation in our electronic health record system
• Provide families with psychoeducation and care coordination resources alongside individual treatment

What You Bring

• Current, unrestricted Maryland license (LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW-C)
• Demonstrated clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote clinical environment with strong self-direction and time management
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapeutic practice
• Proficiency in English/Spanish bilingual care strongly preferred
