The Opportunity

We're seeking an accomplished Team Leader to manage day-to-day operations at our Charing Cross pub, where you'll oversee a dynamic team and ensure consistently high standards of service. Your leadership will directly influence guest satisfaction, team engagement, and business performance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment that demands both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of staff, fostering a positive culture of professionalism and accountability
• Manage shift operations, including opening, closing, and real-time problem-solving
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements
• Drive sales performance and profitability through effective team management and upselling
• Develop and train team members, supporting their growth and career development
• Handle customer concerns with empathy and resolve issues constructively
• Plan scheduling, staffing levels, and resource allocation
• Maintain venue standards, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven capability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively
• Understanding of health, safety, and licensing compliance (or capacity to learn)
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
