Career Bloc is seeking a dedicated Academic Counselor to join our Bangalore, Karnataka office on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll guide students through their educational journey, helping them make informed decisions about their academic pathways and career futures. Compensation is up to ₹55,000 annually.
What This Role Involves
As an Academic Counselor at Career Bloc, you'll be at the heart of student success. You'll work directly with learners to understand their aspirations, academic strengths, and career interests, then craft personalised guidance strategies. Your role bridges educational planning with real-world career outcomes, ensuring students have clear roadmaps for their futures.
Core Duties
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with students to assess academic goals and career aspirations
- Develop tailored educational pathways aligned with student strengths and industry opportunities
- Provide evidence-based career guidance informed by labour market trends and emerging opportunities
- Collaborate with schools, colleges, and parents to support holistic student development
- Track student progress and adjust guidance strategies to maximise outcomes
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to data-driven insights that enhance our guidance programmes
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counselling, social work, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to connect with diverse student populations
- Understanding of India's educational system and career landscape
- Ability to work collaboratively across schools and institutional partners
- Genuine passion for unlocking student potential and enabling career readiness
- Organised, detail-oriented approach to record-keeping and follow-up
