Recruiter (8 month contract)

Join Adaption as a full-time Recruiter on a remote, 8-month contract with this United States-based AI company during a critical scaling phase. You'll own the complete recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing top engineering and research talent to offer coordination, and shape the technical teams that will build next-generation adaptive intelligence systems.

Position Summary

Adaption is building real-time intelligence that evolves and adapts, and we're scaling fast. We need a focused, driven recruiter to fuel this expansion through direct, hands-on talent acquisition. This full-time, 8-month contract role (eligible for conversion to a permanent position) makes you the engine of our hiring mission. You'll manage the complete recruiting cycle—from identifying and engaging passive candidates through offer negotiation—while delivering an exceptional, responsive experience to everyone in your pipeline. This is dynamic work: expect tight feedback loops, rapid iteration, and the opportunity to see your impact immediately.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Identify and actively recruit engineering and research talent from academic institutions, AI labs, and technical communities, reaching passive candidates before they appear on the open market
• Design creative, personalized outreach campaigns that resonate with sophisticated technical builders and researchers
• Use Ashby, Juicebox, and LinkedIn Recruiter daily to build, monitor, and optimize candidate pipelines with precision and speed
• Manage every touchpoint in the hiring funnel: initial outreach, candidate screening, interview scheduling, feedback synthesis, and offer communication
• Respond quickly to candidates and maintain clear communication throughout their journey with us
• Partner closely with engineering and research leaders to translate evolving technical priorities into sourcing strategies
• Adapt your sourcing tactics in real time based on market feedback, hiring manager input, and pipeline data

Who We're Looking For

• 1–3+ years of recruiting experience in technology, ideally from an agency or startup environment where you've mastered rapid scaling
• Strong organizational skills paired with genuine attention to detail, a bias toward action, and a sincere commitment to candidate care
• Real curiosity about frontier machine learning—model efficiency, advanced training approaches, distributed systems—and the ability to engage credibly with technical talent
• Hands-on experience with modern sourcing platforms: Ashby, Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, or equivalent tools
• Comfort working in ambiguity, solving problems independently, and juggling multiple concurrent hiring initiatives
• A genuine people-first mindset: you believe great recruiting starts with understanding and supporting candidates
