Director, Strategic Communications Network

Jobgether is seeking a Director, Strategic Communications Network to lead our remote, global communications strategy from anywhere in Canada. This full-time role combines senior leadership with hands-on expertise to build and guide an international network of communications professionals advancing critical economic and policy narratives.

About This Position

You'll serve as a strategic leader within a growing international ecosystem of communications practitioners, shaping how transformative economic narratives reach policymakers, thought leaders, and the public. This position sits at the intersection of network-building, communications strategy, and field development—managing both big-picture strategy and on-the-ground collaboration across multiple countries and partner organizations. You'll work with teams and external stakeholders to strengthen the communications infrastructure that supports progressive policy and public discourse on issues central to economic justice and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute communications strategies that adapt to different national contexts and partner realities
• Lead narrative development on priority issues such as economic transitions, affordability crises, and artificial intelligence policy
• Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across an international network of communications hubs, teams, and partner organizations
• Influence public and policy conversations by coordinating messaging, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement across borders
• Build sustainable communications infrastructure and field capacity while supporting distributed teams and local leaders
• Guide strategy and best practices that respect diverse communication cultures and organizational contexts

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading communications strategy at a senior level
• Strong track record developing and managing narrative strategies on complex policy or economic issues
• Proven ability to work effectively across cultural contexts, geographies, and organizational structures
• Experience building and sustaining networks or collaborative ecosystems
• Expertise in digital communications, media strategy, or stakeholder engagement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
