Director, Strategic Communications Network

Jobgether is hiring a Director of Strategic Communications Network to lead communications work across a dispersed global team, based in India. This full-time remote position is an opportunity to direct communications strategy at the intersection of economic policy, movement-building, and international collaboration.

The Opportunity

This role sits within a worldwide network of communications professionals dedicated to reshaping economic and policy conversations. You'll oversee communications initiatives across multiple countries and regions, working to connect and strengthen organisations and advocates focused on progressive economic narratives. Rather than managing a traditional communications department, you'll lead a distributed ecosystem—coordinating strategy, sharing expertise, and developing approaches that amplify impact across borders. Your work touches critical issues including labour market transitions, living costs, and technology governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee communications strategy across geographically dispersed teams and partner organisations
• Direct narrative strategy on priority topics such as economic fairness, workforce transitions, and artificial intelligence governance
• Cultivate partnerships and relationships across communications leaders, organisations, and media stakeholders internationally
• Enable knowledge-sharing and innovation within an international network of communications practitioners
• Lead strategic communications planning designed to shift public understanding and policy agendas
• Balance global coordination with respect for regional differences in communication approaches and expertise

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in communications, public policy, advocacy, or media relations
• Track record of leading communications campaigns on policy or social-impact issues
• Ability to navigate and work effectively across different countries, organisations, and stakeholder groups
• Strength in message development and communications strategy
• Experience building coalitions, networks, or multi-stakeholder partnerships
• Knowledge of economics, labour policy, or technology governance is valued
• Strong written and spoken communication abilities
