Director, Strategic Communications Network

Jobgether is seeking a Director, Strategic Communications Network to lead our global initiative advancing compelling economic narratives from a US-based remote position. This full-time leadership role combines strategic oversight with hands-on expertise to shape how organizations worldwide communicate on critical economic topics.

What This Role Involves

You will oversee a distributed network of communications professionals and organizations working to influence public and policy conversations on economic issues. Operating across borders and institutional contexts, you'll design and execute communication strategies that build momentum for progressive economic change. This position requires blending visionary leadership with the ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly to messaging, campaign development, and stakeholder engagement. You will connect teams, facilitate mutual learning, and help each hub in the network strengthen its communication capacity and impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop communication strategies and messaging frameworks addressing key economic narratives—including just transition, cost of living, and artificial intelligence policy
• Build capacity within communications teams across the network, providing strategic support, coordination, and resources
• Coordinate cross-border campaigns and initiatives that amplify shared economic policy priorities
• Foster collaboration among diverse partner organizations while respecting local communication practices and cultural contexts
• Create infrastructure for mutual learning, innovation, and measurable impact across the network
• Guide narrative development and strategic positioning on complex economic topics with policy implications

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading communications strategy at scale, ideally in policy, advocacy, or progressive change sectors
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives spanning multiple countries, cultures, or stakeholder groups
• Strong grasp of economic policy, social movements, and public narratives around economic systems
• Leadership skills suited to distributed, cross-cultural teams and networks
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Comfort with ambiguity and the capacity to thrive in dynamic, mission-driven environments
