Creative Director – Advertising

PlanetArt is seeking a Creative Director – Advertising to lead our advertising creative efforts in Calabasas, California. This full-time position is ideal for a strategic creative leader ready to shape innovative campaigns and guide a talented team.

Role Overview

As Creative Director – Advertising at PlanetArt, you'll own the visual and conceptual direction of our advertising initiatives. You'll translate brand strategy into compelling campaigns, manage creative timelines and budgets, and mentor designers, copywriters, and creative professionals. Your vision will drive how PlanetArt connects with audiences across multiple channels and platforms.

What You'll Do

• Develop original advertising concepts and creative strategies aligned with business objectives
• Art direct visual design, copywriting, and multimedia creative assets for campaigns
• Lead and inspire a creative team, providing feedback, mentorship, and strategic direction
• Present and pitch creative concepts to stakeholders and clients
• Oversee campaign production from ideation through execution and performance measurement
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and account teams
• Stay current with advertising trends, design movements, and emerging platforms

What You Bring

• 5+ years in advertising, creative agencies, or in-house creative departments
• Proven leadership experience managing creative teams or departments
• Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and award-caliber creative work
• Expertise in advertising mediums—digital, print, video, social, out-of-home, or broadcast
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent) and advertising platforms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance creative excellence and business goals
