Contracts Manager

Phoenix Software is recruiting a Contracts Manager to join our team in a full-time remote position. Based near Pocklington, England, United Kingdom, this role offers the opportunity to manage contracts across our organisation from wherever you work best.

The Opportunity

As Contracts Manager at Phoenix Software, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our commercial interests and ensuring smooth business operations. This full-time position is based remotely, allowing you to work flexibly whilst managing our contract portfolio. You'll be responsible for overseeing contracts from initial negotiation through to closure, working with stakeholders across the business to secure favourable terms and mitigate risk.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal
• Review and analyse contract terms to identify risks, obligations, and opportunities for improvement
• Liaise with internal teams—including finance, operations, and senior leadership—to gather requirements and communicate contract status
• Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legislation and company policy
• Monitor contract performance and notify relevant parties of key dates, milestones, and renewal deadlines
• Negotiate contract amendments and resolve disputes in collaboration with external parties

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing commercial contracts or a related compliance, legal, or procurement function
• Strong knowledge of contract law principles and best practice
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and organisational ability
• Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple contracts simultaneously
• Problem-solving mindset with confidence to escalate issues appropriately
