Frontend Developer – Digital Solutions

Frontend Developer - Digital Solutions is a full-time opportunity with Continental, based in Lousado, Braga. This is a remote position, allowing you to contribute to Continental's digital solutions from wherever you work best.

What This Role Involves

As a Frontend Developer, you'll be at the heart of creating engaging digital experiences for Continental's customers and stakeholders. You'll build responsive, performant user interfaces using modern web technologies, turning design concepts into functional, accessible code. Your work directly impacts how users interact with Continental's digital solutions across the Information Technology division.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
• Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive digital solutions
• Test, debug, and optimise user interfaces for performance and compatibility across browsers and devices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and best practices in web development

Qualifications

• Proven experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong proficiency with at least one modern framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative teams
