Assistant Category Manager

Delivery Hero is hiring an Assistant Category Manager to join our sales team in Manama, Bahrain. This is a full-time position where you'll support the development and optimisation of product categories, working closely with our vendor partners and internal teams to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

What This Role Involves

As Assistant Category Manager at Delivery Hero, you'll play an active part in shaping how our restaurant and food categories perform in the Manama market. You'll collaborate with experienced category managers and cross-functional colleagues to implement category strategies, strengthen vendor relationships, and identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience. Your contributions will help ensure our platform offers compelling variety and value to both diners and restaurant partners.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the management and development of assigned product categories, working with restaurant partners to expand offerings and improve quality
• Engage with vendors to understand their needs, provide feedback, and foster long-term partnerships that benefit our marketplace
• Analyse category performance data to identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities
• Assist in the execution of category promotions, pricing strategies, and seasonal campaigns
• Contribute to cross-functional projects involving product, operations, marketing, and analytics teams
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of category initiatives and outcomes

Who We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Analytical mindset with comfort working with data and metrics
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to think creatively about marketplace challenges
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in sales, business development, category management, or related field
• Familiarity with food delivery, retail, or marketplace platforms is a plus
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
