Bosch Group is seeking a skilled Application Software Developer specialising in automotive ECU (Engine Control Unit) systems. In this remote role based in Budapest, you'll develop sophisticated software solutions that control critical automotive functions. What You'll Do

• Design and develop application software for automotive ECU systems using industry-standard methodologies and tools
• Write and optimise C/C++ code for real-time embedded systems that meet stringent automotive performance requirements
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and systems architects to integrate software with ECU platforms
• Conduct testing, validation, and debugging to ensure software reliability and compliance with automotive standards
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Document software designs and technical specifications for cross-functional stakeholders

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience developing embedded software in C or C++
• Solid understanding of real-time systems, automotive ECU architecture, and embedded systems principles
• Familiarity with automotive software standards (such as AUTOSAR) is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluent in English; Hungarian language skills a plus
