Quality Manager

Role Overview

The Quality Manager role is central to ensuring that every aspect of our operations meets and exceeds industry and regulatory standards. You'll oversee quality assurance processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and champion a culture where quality is embedded in every decision. Your leadership will directly impact our reputation, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance systems and procedures across all operational areas
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing to verify compliance with internal and external standards
• Analyse quality data, identify trends, and lead root cause analysis for non-conformances
• Lead corrective and preventative action initiatives to address quality issues
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and maintain documentation for compliance audits
• Train and mentor team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
• Collaborate with production, operations, and supply chain teams to embed quality at source
• Monitor supplier and vendor compliance to quality requirements
• Report quality metrics and performance indicators to senior management

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in quality management, quality assurance, or a closely related field
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or equivalent frameworks)
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence across departments
• Proficiency with quality control tools, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Self-motivated, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
• Based in or willing to relocate to Durban, eThekwini
