What This Role Involves

As a graduate in our Technology Risk programme, you'll work within KPMG's Advisory division, supporting clients across the Johannesburg region and beyond in identifying, assessing, and managing risks embedded in their technology landscapes. You'll contribute to meaningful engagements that help businesses strengthen their digital resilience, protect critical systems, and align technology investments with strategic objectives—gaining hands-on experience in one of the profession's most dynamic and evolving disciplines.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct technology risk assessments and evaluations for diverse clients across sectors in Johannesburg and Gauteng
  • Support senior consultants in developing risk strategies, remediation roadmaps, and implementation guidance
  • Analyse technology systems, controls, and processes to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare clear, well-structured reports and client presentations documenting findings and actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Audit, Tax, and Advisory to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Contribute to proposal development, business development activities, and knowledge-sharing within the team

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities; comfortable navigating complex technical environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Genuine interest in technology risk, cybersecurity, and digital transformation topics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Willingness to travel within Gauteng and nationally as engagement requirements dictate
