Full-Stack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential property technology client based in Hamburg. They are building a sophisticated management platform and operate with an AI-first development approach using modern coding assistance tools. This is an on-site role requiring several days per week in their Hamburg office.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features for a property management system using AI-assisted development workflows based on the existing architecture
• Take ownership of pull requests through to release: reviewing code, testing thoroughly, resolving conflicts, and ensuring only clean, correct code goes live
• Serve as the critical quality gate for AI-generated code—identifying subtle issues that automated pipelines may not catch
• Maintain codebase consistency and maintainability by enforcing shared patterns and clean data modeling practices
• Own the complete delivery cycle from concept through release, ensuring features ship quickly without compromising quality

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Proven experience developing with AI coding assistants (Claude Code or comparable tools), with the ability to critically evaluate generated code rather than accepting it blindly
• Deep full-stack TypeScript expertise: strong proficiency in React on the frontend, plus the ability to write and debug backend code including APIs, database queries, and services
• Strong code review judgment: ability to read pull requests critically, provide clear constructive feedback, and take responsibility for what gets released
• PostgreSQL and data modeling expertise: solid understanding of transactions, indexes, foreign keys, and migrations—treating database schema as a long-term contract
• Proficient Git workflow skills: comfortable with rebasing, merge conflicts, CI pipelines, and branch-based development
• Team discipline: ability to work within established team patterns rather than pushing personal preferences in every pull request
• Currently residing in Hamburg or surrounding area—this position requires on-site presence multiple days per week in the Winterhude office
• German language proficiency at C-level for internal communication and domain understanding

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Fly.io, Docker, and integrating external APIs (CRM, accounting systems, etc.)
• Eye for UI consistency and design systems
• Interest in the construction or property renovation domain
