GRC (Senior) Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting organization seeking a GRC professional to join their Munich team. In this role, you will:

• Support the implementation and optimization of corporate governance frameworks, including enterprise risk management, business continuity management, and internal control systems
• Participate in process and risk analyses, helping to define appropriate mitigation measures
• Assist in conducting client workshops and training sessions
• Support data analysis and the design of audit-proof automated controls
• Help develop management dashboards and reporting solutions using tools like Microsoft Power BI
• Contribute to threat scenario assessments and emergency planning
• Participate in developing client-specific and profitable AI use cases
• Support the entire proposal process from offer creation through contract closure

Additional responsibilities at the Senior level include:

• Leading complex projects for building governance systems and owning automation and digitalization strategies
• Taking full responsibility for risk and process analysis methodologies, deriving recommendations, and aligning with leadership
• Independently facilitating workshops, moderating stakeholder discussions, and creating decision-ready materials
• Designing automated controls in collaboration with IT and business units, ensuring effectiveness and audit compliance
• Developing dashboard and reporting concepts tailored to decision-makers and advising on appropriate metrics
• Taking ownership of threat assessments and advising companies on robust crisis management plans
• Independently developing client-specific AI use cases and advising on technical implementation
• Creating proposals and presentations autonomously and participating in client pitch meetings

What We're Looking For

Core requirements:

• Successfully completed university degree with relevant practical experience through internships or working student positions, ideally in consulting or a strategically focused environment
• Passion for enterprise risk management, business continuity management, or internal control systems with foundational knowledge in these areas
• Interest in relevant standards, norms, and legal requirements and their pragmatic implementation, particularly IDW standards, COSO, ISO, SOX, and FISG
• Basic understanding of process and risk analyses and the derivation of measures or emergency plans
• Ideally, initial exposure to data analysis and automated controls in SAP or comparable ERP systems
• Preferably, some knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps (MS 365)
• Interest in the application of AI in enterprise contexts and willingness to learn about AI use cases
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and open to feedback and development
• Strong communication skills and confident presence in both German and English (minimum C1 in both languages)

Additional requirements for Senior level:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting, audit (Big 4), or a line function
• Comprehensive practical experience and expertise in building and transforming corporate governance systems
• In-depth knowledge of IDW standards, COSO, ISO, SOX, and FISG, with the ability to translate these into practical organizational and technical measures
• Solid experience conducting risk and process analyses within governance frameworks
• Strong SAP knowledge, particularly in designing automated controls and implementing continuous controls monitoring
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Power Apps (MS 365) for automating and visualizing governance processes
• Experience developing and implementing client-specific AI use cases
• Comfortable taking responsibility and an active leadership role within teams, fostering professional exchange and supporting others' development
• Confident communication skills with senior stakeholders in both German and English
