Senior New Business Manager Public Sector Communications (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital solutions provider in Berlin seeking a Senior New Business Manager to drive client acquisition within the public sector communications space. Our talent team is looking for an experienced business development professional who can identify opportunities, build relationships with federal and state government stakeholders, and position innovative digital communication solutions in the public sector market.

This role focuses on systematic new client acquisition, market intelligence, and strategic positioning of communication services including websites, content management systems, AI-driven solutions, campaigns, and social media for government organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead systematic new client acquisition targeting federal and state government agencies
• Identify market trends, business opportunities, and develop targeted acquisition and go-to-market strategies
• Plan and execute marketing initiatives specifically designed to attract new public sector clients
• Build and maintain a robust network of clients, partners, and relevant market stakeholders
• Consult with prospective clients on digital communication solutions across websites, CMS platforms, AI applications, content strategy, campaigns, and social channels
• Identify relevant public tenders and guide proposal, procurement, and pitch processes in collaboration with technical teams
• Represent our client at meetings, networking events, and industry forums

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in business development, sales, or new client acquisition, ideally with public sector clients
• Strong knowledge of the communications, agency services, and CMS market, plus understanding of public sector structures, decision-making processes, and requirements
• Ability to translate complex communication and digital transformation services into clear client benefits
• Experience with public procurement processes, tender responses, and creating compelling proposals
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
• Self-motivated, strategic, and results-oriented approach with genuine enthusiasm for digital communication
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin
