Full-Stack Engineer – Team Decide

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join their distributed systems team in Berlin. This role focuses on designing and operating execution engines that power critical decision workflows processing millions of transactions daily. You'll work with modern AWS infrastructure, agentic AI tooling, and cutting-edge distributed systems at scale.

Our client is building sophisticated automation platforms that combine AI, rules engines, and human oversight. As a full-stack engineer on their core decision team, you'll own critical systems end-to-end and shape architectural decisions that impact production systems serving major financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate backend services in Python on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, event-driven pipelines) handling real production traffic
• Leverage agentic AI tools as part of daily development workflows
• Work on AI initiatives including MCP servers and agentic co-pilot features
• Solve complex backend challenges related to latency, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute to systems end-to-end: implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Participate in technical and architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs with the engineering team
• Conduct code reviews and improve development tooling and processes
• Collaborate directly with Product and Design to define roadmap priorities

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
• Proven track record delivering moderately complex projects or features
• Strong experience with React
• Experience working with Design Systems to ensure consistent UX across products
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from the Berlin office (relocation assistance not provided)

Ideal but not required:

• Familiarity with system design concepts and architectural trade-offs
• AWS Serverless experience at scale (Lambda, SAM, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, Aurora)
