IT Consultant Collaboration & Open Source (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential open-source software consultancy based in Rostock, Germany. Our client is seeking an IT Consultant to help organizations adopt modern collaboration platforms built on open-source technologies. In this role, you will guide clients through digital transformation projects, focusing on collaborative tools and workflow optimization. This is a customer-facing position that requires no programming or system administration skills—your strength will be understanding business needs and translating them into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on digital collaboration using open-source solutions
• Conduct client meetings and workshops to analyze requirements and workflows
• Guide implementation projects for collaboration platforms from concept to adoption
• Translate business requirements into solution concepts and coordinate with technical specialists
• Support users and departments with organizational questions about digital work practices
• Collaborate with project teams while maintaining focus on goals and next steps
• Create concepts, presentations, and decision documents
• Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for further development

• Ability to explain complex topics clearly and appropriately for different audiences
• Strong sense for customer needs and suitable solution approaches
• Excellent communication skills and confident presence in client meetings and presentations
• Independent, structured, and reliable work style
• Interest in digitalization, modern collaboration, and open-source software
• German language proficiency required for client-facing work

Valued additional experience:

• Background in customer consulting, account management, or IT-related services
• Practical project management experience or software implementation projects
• Sales or presales experience with complex solutions
• Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Nextcloud or similar tools
