We are representing a confidential energy technology organization seeking a Delivery Manager to lead the onboarding of flexible generation and energy assets across the EU, with a primary focus on Germany. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of renewable energy innovation and enterprise software delivery.

Our client is at the forefront of the energy transition, building software solutions that connect distributed energy resources to energy markets. As they scale rapidly across Europe, they need an experienced technical delivery professional who can bridge the gap between customer requirements, physical asset integration, and SaaS platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

You will own the complete onboarding journey for grid-scale battery storage (BESS), commercial and industrial energy assets, and renewable generation facilities including wind and solar installations. This includes managing projects from initial technical discovery through gateway installation, commissioning, testing, and handover to live operations.

As the primary delivery point of contact during site onboarding, you'll coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups—working directly with customers to gather technical requirements, collaborating with electrical engineering teams on physical integration design, and partnering with product and software engineering teams to ensure the platform is properly configured for each asset.

Your technical responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting customer documentation such as electrical single line diagrams, network and communications diagrams, PPC controller specifications, Modbus register maps, and functional design documents. You'll need to understand the end-to-end data and control path from physical assets through meters, controllers, gateways, and communications infrastructure into the SaaS platform.

You'll manage gateway delivery and installation coordination, ensuring all prerequisites including power, networking, and connectivity are ready. You'll oversee commissioning activities and operational acceptance testing, proactively identifying technical gaps, missing information, or integration risks before they become delivery blockers.

A key aspect of this role is translation—converting between customer business requirements, electrical engineering specifications, and software configuration needs. You'll ensure each team understands what's required from the others and that the customer's intended use case is accurately reflected in the technical solution.

You'll maintain clear visibility across multiple concurrent site integrations at different stages, managing delivery timelines, surfacing issues early, and driving resolution across internal teams and external partners. You'll also feed recurring integration challenges back to product and engineering teams to help scale and improve the onboarding process.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong technical background with confidence working alongside electrical, control systems, and networking specialists
• Practical understanding of industrial networking and communications concepts including IP addressing, LANs, routers, VPNs, and site connectivity
• Working knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals: metering, breakers, transformers, generators, inverters, batteries, and asset control systems
• Proven experience delivering technical projects involving integration, commissioning, or onboarding of physical assets—ideally within energy, renewables, utilities, industrial automation, or similar environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical problems clearly to diverse audiences
• Experience coordinating multiple teams and dependencies across customers, engineering, hardware vendors, and installation partners
• Highly organized approach with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously at different project stages
• Proactive risk identification and blocker removal skills in fast-changing environments
• Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering outstanding onboarding experiences without compromising technical quality
• Professional fluency in both German and English
• Right to work in Germany (visa sponsorship not available)

Valuable additional experience:

• Background in flexible generation, battery storage, renewable energy, demand response, or distributed energy resources
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, system integrations, or cloud software architecture
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus or OPC UA
• Experience commissioning or integrating generators, battery systems, solar installations, or EV infrastructure
• Previous work with grid-connected assets, control systems, or energy market services
• SaaS implementation, technical product onboarding, or systems integration experience
• Knowledge of commissioning processes including cold commissioning, energization, and hot commissioning phases
• Hands-on experience with industrial gateways, edge devices, or IoT connectivity
