About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential engineering AI platform company seeking a Solutions Engineer based in Munich, Germany. Our client serves elite engineering teams in automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing, helping them accelerate product development through AI-enabled simulation and design workflows.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will bridge technical credibility with strategic influence. You'll work directly with engineering teams and leadership to identify high-impact AI use cases, deliver tailored demonstrations, and guide clients from initial discovery through signed statements of work and ongoing expansion.

Responsibilities

• Position the platform as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to engineering teams, managers, and executives
• Lead structured discovery sessions to identify technically feasible and commercially grounded use cases
• Define AI strategy and technical roadmaps for each account, translating platform capabilities into multi-phase visions
• Create and deliver compelling, client-tailored demos and presentations aligned with engineering workflows
• Develop and co-own Statements of Work with deep understanding of technical requirements and workflow transformation
• Prepare and run Steering Committees connecting engineering challenges to strategic business outcomes
• Drive user adoption across technical users, managers, and designers to embed the platform in daily workflows
• Identify upsell and expansion opportunities, shaping them into well-scoped proposals
• Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to advance deals and ensure smooth handoffs
• Surface client insights to inform product roadmap priorities

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, or similar)
• Solid understanding of CAD and CAE workflows, including bottlenecks and transformation opportunities
• Naturally curious and people-driven with ability to earn trust through genuine interest in client challenges
• Proactive and commercially driven, moving accounts forward and spotting opportunities early
• Confident challenger who asks tough questions and guides clients toward better outcomes
• Outstanding communicator capable of owning executive conversations and connecting engineering to strategy
• Conceptual understanding of AI and machine learning applied to engineering contexts
• Comfortable creating demos and prototypes using AI-assisted tools with working knowledge of Python
• Experience in client-facing roles: pre-sales, solutions consulting, technical account management, or engineering consulting
• Professional fluency in German and English

Preferred qualifications that enable wider scope:

• Deep hands-on simulation experience: full pipelines from CAD to post-processing, solver experience, workflow automation
• Strong programming skills: clean Python, data pipelines, ML/DL frameworks including model training and deployment
• Ability to dive deep into customer toolchains, data environments, and simulation setups
• Capability to build end-to-end engineering workflow demos from scratch
• Strategic or technical consulting background executing digital transformations
• Experience with engineering software tools (Ansys, Altair, Siemens, Dassault Systèmes, Autodesk)
• Background in ML/DL research or development in engineering contexts
• Experience automating CAE workflows (scripting, batch processing, surrogate models)
