This Forward Deployed Engineer role places you at the intersection of advanced machine learning and industrial engineering, working directly with customers in automotive, aerospace, and energy sectors to transform their product design workflows.

You'll join a team that bridges cutting-edge AI technology with real-world engineering challenges, helping industry leaders adopt intelligent automation into their conception and design processes. This is a customer-facing technical role where you'll deliver measurable impact through data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Run technical projects embedded with customer engineering teams, analyzing and processing complex engineering datasets using proprietary platforms and Python libraries
• Apply machine learning and deep learning workflows to solve engineering and physics problems across CAD, CAE, and manufacturing domains
• Develop and deliver proofs-of-concept that demonstrate the business value of AI-assisted design methodologies
• Train customer teams on effective use of advanced analytical methods and platforms, ensuring successful AI adoption into their existing workflows
• Collaborate with product development teams to translate customer requirements and feedback into platform enhancements
• Build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders through high-quality delivery and clear communication

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics
• Technical Foundation: Excellent understanding of both Engineering principles and Machine Learning methodologies (required)
• Programming: Strong Python programming experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks and libraries (required)
• Simulation Experience: Background with simulation tools; industry experience in CAD/CAE modeling (CFD, FEM, etc.) is a significant plus
• Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical
• Customer Skills: Comfortable in client-facing roles with excellent interpersonal abilities
• Languages: Fluent in English and German (native German preferred)
• Motivation: Genuine passion for applying ML and automation to reshape industrial engineering practices
