Solutions Engineering Manager – DACH & Nordics

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization that is transforming how engineering teams work across automotive, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Our client is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead their pre-sales motion across the DACH and Nordics region from their Munich office.

In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between sophisticated engineering organizations and AI-powered workflow transformation. You'll lead discovery, shape transformation roadmaps, and build the regional solutions engineering team while working on some of the most complex and strategic accounts in the region.

Responsibilities

• Own the pre-sales strategy and execution for the region's most strategic accounts, building trusted relationships with engineering leadership and C-level stakeholders
• Lead structured technical discovery sessions, framing AI use cases that are both technically feasible and commercially viable within existing engineering workflows
• Define customer-specific AI strategies and technical roadmaps, translating platform capabilities into credible multi-phase transformation plans
• Create and deliver compelling, technically grounded demonstrations and presentations tailored to client engineering workflows and challenges
• Develop detailed Statements of Work with deep understanding of technical components and their impact on client workflows
• Prepare and facilitate Steering Committee meetings on strategic accounts, connecting engineering challenges to business outcomes
• Identify and scope expansion opportunities across the regional portfolio
• Build and develop the regional solutions engineering team, setting high standards for discovery quality, technical credibility, and proposal accuracy
• Collaborate closely with sales, forward-deployed engineering teams, and product leadership to advance deals and inform product direction

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Engineering degree in mechanical, aerospace, automotive, industrial engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in senior technical client-facing roles such as solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting with complex, high-value accounts
• Strong hands-on experience with CAD and CAE workflows, including deep understanding of bottlenecks and transformation opportunities
• Professional fluency in both German and English
• Proven ability to build trust at all organizational levels, from simulation engineers to VPs and CTOs
• Outstanding communication skills with equal comfort in technical deep-dives and strategic executive discussions
• Demonstrated people leadership experience building high-performing teams
• Proactive, commercially driven mindset with ability to spot opportunities and bring structure to ambiguous situations
• Confident challenger who can reframe assumptions and guide clients toward better outcomes

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on simulation experience with full pipelines from CAD to post-processing and workflow automation
• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in ML/DL frameworks, model training, and deployment
• Ability to conduct deep technical discovery, assessing customer toolchains and data environments
• Experience building end-to-end engineering workflow demonstrations from scratch
• Background structuring enterprise transformation programs and multi-year adoption roadmaps
• Experience building or leading technical pre-sales or solutions engineering teams, or strategic consulting background
